Note (20 June 2025): We intend to retire the P drive (personal storage) service. Microsoft OneDrive will become the default personal storage.

Once the service has been retired, you will no longer be able to access files on your P Drive.

This service provides secure storage for personal files and documents on the University’s network.

Secure and backed-up (files can be recovered from the past 30 days)Accessible when on campus when connected to the wired network, or off campus if connected to the Virtual Private Network (VPN)Also available online via Eduroam, My Manchester or P drives on the webSize of your P: Drive can be increased

Eligibility

All members of University staff and all students are eligible to use this service.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We aim to respond to service requests within one working day and to resolve your query/request within ten working days. If your request is considered to be a priority when triaged by our IT Support Centre, the response time will be adjusted accordingly.

Availability

This service is available 24/7, availability estimated at 99.9%.

Support hours

8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

All staff and students are provided a personal data storage area by default once their account is generated.
